Veyoli is a private, invite-only video messenger for the people closest to you, currently in TestFlight beta. By creating an account you agree to these terms. The short version: be respectful, we do not tolerate abusive behavior or objectionable content from anyone, and we act on reports.

Zero tolerance. Veyoli has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. This includes harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, and any content or behavior that endangers, exploits, or abuses another person. We act on reports of this behavior and remove the people responsible for it.

Who can use Veyoli

You must be 18 years of age or older to create a Veyoli account.

Acceptable use

Veyoli is a private space for people you invite and who invite you. When you use Veyoli, you agree that you will not:

  • send content that is objectionable, illegal, or that exploits, endangers, or abuses another person, including minors;
  • harass, threaten, stalk, or bully another user;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent who you are;
  • attempt to access another user's account or bypass the app's security or encryption;
  • use the app for spam, scams, or any commercial purpose it was not built for;
  • attempt to circumvent a block or removal from a conversation.

Reporting and how we act on it

Every message and every user can be reported in the app. A report reaches the operator by email as soon as it is filed. We aim to look at each report as soon as we can and will act on abuse we can confirm, which can include removing content or ending an account. This is a service run by one person, so we cannot promise a fixed time. Because messages are end-to-end encrypted, we rely on the report details and any screenshots you choose to attach.

Depending on severity, we respond with an escalation ladder:

  • Warning. For a first, lower-severity report, we contact the reported user with a factual warning describing the policy that was violated.
  • Ejection from a conversation. For severe or repeated abuse, we remove the reported user from the shared conversation. They can no longer see or send messages there.
  • Account termination. For the most severe violations, including anything endangering a minor, or for repeated abuse after a warning, we delete the reported user's account entirely.

You can also block a user yourself at any time, which stops their messages from reaching you, and you can leave any conversation.

End-to-end encryption and what that means for moderation

Your message content, including videos and voice notes, is encrypted on your device before upload, and our servers store only ciphertext for that content. Moderation cannot inspect message content on the server. It acts on reports, account and conversation metadata, and evidence a reporter voluntarily shares from their own device, such as screenshots of content they received. Reports are readable by us and are what moderation reviews. We do not hold a copy of your keys, and we do not bypass this encryption or scan message content on our servers.

Account termination and deletion

We may warn, remove from a conversation, or terminate any account that violates these terms, at our discretion, with or without notice for severe violations.

You can delete your own account at any time in the app under Settings, Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your sign-in record, profile, and your own standing account data. It does not delete every video you sent from conversations that still have other members. Those videos stay available to the remaining members and identify you as Deleted account. The app does not currently offer a switch to erase every video you sent from those conversations. Videos in a conversation that is deleted are queued for physical erasure from storage, normally within about five minutes. Encrypted files left by deletions before 30 September 2026 are a separate legacy backlog and are not yet covered by that process. See the Privacy Policy for more detail.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Veyoli is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. Veyoli is currently in beta and may contain bugs, experience downtime, or change without notice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data or message history, for example if you lose access to your encryption keys. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of Veyoli will be resolved in the courts of Hungary, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. The version identifier at the top reflects the current version and matches the version you attested to at signup. Material changes will be announced in the app or in TestFlight release notes, and continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Changelog: 2026-10-02: reporting section no longer states a response-time target. 2026-07-14: first published version, matching the onboarding attestation pane.
